The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating the death of the lone occupant of a helicopter that crashed on northern Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Island last week.
Victoria’s Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre dispatched a CH-149 Cormorant helicopter to Brooks Peninsula, southwest of Port Hardy on the west coast of the Island, at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 15.
The 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron from CFB Comox also responded and its members recovered the victim, said Maritime Forces Pacific public affairs.
No further details were available.
