What does it mean to be Black in B.C. in 2021? Tasha Clarke, co-founder of the BC Community Alliance, describes it as a "multifaceted experience."

The BCCA is using Black History Month as an opportunity to remind people Black history is all around us and woven into our institutions and home lives.

Clarke's local organization dedicates its time to combating structural discrimination created by anti-Black racism. The group is currently forming a team of educators, administrators, and academics to develop a curriculum used to create more inclusive educational settings within the province's schools.
