A Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»photographer is calling on pet owners to be part of a new photo book she’s creating to raise funds for an animal organization.
Heather MacNeill, the owner of , is looking for animal lovers who have an extraordinary connection with their pet to be featured in a limited edition, hardcover photography book that will support the Citadel Canine Society in Vancouver.
MacNeill said the book, ANIMALITY: Connection, was inspired by the deep connections she has witnessed photographing animals over the past four years.
"Pet photography is 'a whole other animal'. Every picture tells a story, and every story frames our life,” MacNeill said.
To be part of the book pet owners have to pay an $89 registration fee, with 50 per cent of the fee going to Citadel Canine Society.
As part of the package, participants will receive a professional Rambling Hound pet photography session, a double-page spread in the book.
MacNeill said the books will be completed and available for purchase in Fall 2020 and $20 from each sale will also be donated directly back to the Citadel Canine Society.
The organization train and provide Medical Service Dogs for veterans, firefighters, police, paramedics, nurses, and 9-1-1 personnel who are diagnosed with PTSD or Occupational Stress Injuries.
MacNeill said all species were for the book.
Registrations close March 10.
