Video: 'Unprecedented situation': Second baby sea otter rescued, being cared for by 鶹ýӳgroup

A second baby sea otter, named Luna, has been rescued and is in the care of the 鶹ýӳAquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society.

The (VAMMRS) has another adorable patient.

Luna, a baby sea otter, is in the group's care in 鶹ýӳafter being discovered alone on Vargas Island near Tofino.

She's just 1.58 kg.

"In critical condition, she's under 24-hour care, being bottle-fed every 1.5 hours," states VAMMRS on a social media post.

Luna is the second rescued sea otter pup the group is caring for after Tofino arrived earlier this summer.

"Luna's rescue means we're caring for two otters simultaneously for the first time in our history. This unprecedented situation presents significant challenges," states the VAMMRS. 

"Thanks to our dedicated community of volunteers, donors, staff and partners, we're providing the intensive care Luna and Tofino require."

The VAMMRS is currently collecting donations to help care for the otter pups, which require round-the-clock care and customized living situations.
